Most people make money from blogging after a few years of hard work.
No one in the world outside of the blog-o-sphere really believes you can make money blogging.
I think it’s because no one believes that the neighbor next door is smart enough to make money online.
Making money online is for Amazon or online merchants who have a product to sell…
Not for people like you and me who sign up for affiliate programs and promote other people’s products.
Maybe people would believe it if schools started teaching blogging classes. Right now, no one is teaching people in school that blogging is a viable income stream. People still want to learn how to make money the old fashioned way… by getting a job.
Yet, there are hundreds if not thousands of bloggers who make a sizable income blogging.
In my opinion and experience:
The biggest impediment to making money online from your blog is learning a system that you can easily implement to make money.
Take Melyssa Griffin, for instance.
Today I was looking for ways to improve my site graphics to drive traffic from Pinterest.
Pinterest is one of the biggest drivers to my niche websites in general & giving my graphics an overhaul is a must-do going forward.
I came across one of Melyssa’s Pinterest graphics posts and found her blog and blogging story for the first time…
Her income reports are on par with other bloggers of her caliber who have polished sites, offer e-courses, and have honed in on a consistent income stream.
She has found a way to present herself, put together courses, and make a lot o’money.
In June of 2016 she made over $126,000.
Yup… that’s INSANE! INSANE! INSANE! I had to say it three times…. it’s truly insane.
So, should we believe people who say they make a lot of money from blogging?
That’s up to you, really. But after being online and studying this stuff a few years ( and clearly not implementing it well enough yet ) people do make a lot of money.

Reverse Engineering Someone Else’s Idea to Make Money Blogging
There’s something called “Reverse Engineering” that a lot of bloggers talk about.
Basically, buy an online course, pick it apart, rehash it into your own words, and sell it.
There are a ton of ways to resell a course you reverse engineer.
Reverse Engineered Micro Sites / Authority Websites
You can buy other people’s courses and make micro sites (one Skyscraper post and 10-20 smaller articles) around a specific niche or make an authority site (Quicksprout.com) that covers the whole gamut of issues surrounding a niche.
That’s an excellent way to systematize and build out opportunities to make money from blogging.
Or, you can put together 2-3 minute reviews of courses on Youtube and direct traffic to an affiliate offer you sign up for on Clickbank or you can direct traffic to a landing page that captures their email address.
If you are new to blogging, all this will all seem out of reach and unattainable – and downright confusing.
Frankly, most bloggers take a few years to learn the ropes before they make money. I’ve been a blogger off and on for the past 2 years and am still implementing systems to make more money with my blogs.
My Blogging Story
I started this website to document and share info about blogging and how to earn money blogging.
I still consider myself a newbie even though I have been making some money with the Amazon Affiliate program.
And, while I see other people become quite successful with e-courses, I’m still pulling the trigger on 4-8% commissions in a fairly safe and secure affiliate program.
What’s holding me back from reverse engineering a course?
Other than the usual lack of time and fear of failure, nothing except focus and determination.
